Mama told me a story.

When I was 5 I ran up to mama ” mama! Mama! You said no one is allowed to touch my wiwi right? Uncle Daib just did!” Mama picked me up and placeed me on her lap ” darling” she smiled “let your truth climb up the attic of your throat and watch it suicide on the pavement” I looked on confused and I could see the sad looks on Mama’s face even with her smile in place. I was a curious child so I climbed down Mama’s lap, half hopped and half ran to Papa “papa! Papa! Mama said … Continue reading Mama told me a story.

Before we broke up……

Before we broke up, he took me to dinner, bought me a dinner dress and I swear I felt like a princess. He booked the terrace, we had starter course, main dish, dessert and he fed me occasionally getting lost in my radiant smile. ” The moon would be envious of your smile, it shines brighter than hers” i blushed and in my heart i whispered a prayer of gratitude to my creator. We had met barely two years ago and he was everything I dreamt of and more. He was the life of my death, the death of my … Continue reading Before we broke up……

Choose what you read wisely

So yesterday has been my worst day yet. It’s no news that I’ve been battling depression or what seems like depression but lately, let’s count a month back I’ve been seriously thinking about death. I’ve had the overwhelming wish that everything would just stop, life, the pain, the world absolutely everything. You know when you’re in the middle of a movie you can no longer watch or you’d want to go and pee quickly and then you hit the pause button? While this time I just want the movie to not just pause but end of if it’s not at … Continue reading Choose what you read wisely

I guess……

Yesterday night I had a long hearty and revealing talk with my friend. This friend is just 20 years of age barely two months of being married and she’s already one month pregnant. Now how would this look to a 26 year old who’s still under her parents, who’s confused and caught in the whirld winof life, who’s in a job she hates and still very much single? I know right? And she actually was telling me how sad and frustrated she was, how she could no longer do the little things she does, how she didn’t sign up for … Continue reading I guess……

Forgotten sunnah #2

1. Dust off That Bed!        The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When any one of you goes to bed, let him clear his bed by hitting it with his garment, for he does not know what may have come onto it. Then let him lie down on his right side… (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) This means you dust off the bed with one hand covered by the edge of your lower garment or something else, as long as you cover your hand lest there be something harmful to your hand (as explained by Imam An-Nawawi). Don’t forget to teach this … Continue reading Forgotten sunnah #2

Why do I write?

Assalamu Alaikum!!!! These question you’ve probably being asked before but suprisingly when you’re asked again you find yourself giving a different answer. Your reasons evolve just like you! I was asked once why I write “well, it’s the only way I can be heard” came the reply, another time “it’s because there’s a voice in my head that would not shut the fuck up!” I replied and today I am saying “it’s because I have so much to say and talking can be exhausting and boring too”. So the question is on you. Why do you write? Continue reading Why do I write?
